Mission Statement

Team Wench, Inc. is a Renaissance-themed organization which believes that a small group of individuals can make a difference by pooling their talents and resources. We work both individually and collectively to raise donations for established charities which promote research or provide support to make people's lives healthier and safer.

Sixth Annual Prepare for Faire Sale

When: Saturday July 19, 2008, 9:00a.m. - 1:00p.m.
Where: Sterling, VA (directions below)
Who: Team Wench, to benefit the National MS Society
What's there: Baskets, garb, feast gear, soaps, more baskets, magazines, fabric (including antique lace, velvet, and silk), heat/vibrating massaging mat, buttons and beads at fire-sale prices, and have we mentioned garb and baskets?

If you need it for faire, we've got it!

Some skirts, some bodices, some one-of-a-kind pieces, a good number of those medieval underdresses and shorter overdress things, and lots of chemises and shirts! And much much more!

If you don't find what you need, there's also plenty of fabric available to make your own. Plain cotton for chemises and skirts, and some lovely not plain fabric for bodices, overdress trim, that belly-dance outfit you always wanted to make, and more. Remember, a good portion of the fabrics this year come from Cyd's collection, so you know there's a lot of good fabrics there! Did I forget to mention the sewing machine that's for sale?

Don't forget the basket collection! There are baskets to carry your purchases home, baskets for bringing lunch to faire, baskets for carrying your every-faire-day stuff around, and baskets for holding items at home. Some of the baskets have already stood the test of faire, and are still in great condition.

On top of this will be a lot of regular yard sale items as well! An ab-energizer, fondue pots, bread maker, electric woks, a toaster, clothing, jewelry, knick-knacks, and a variety of items both modern and medieval for your convenience! There is a *HUGE* collection of silk and designer scarves for sale!

Are you an avid crafter? There will be tons of yarn, beads, buttons, cross-stitch, and other types of crafty items to feed the crafts of your wildest dreams!

Baked goods will also be available for those with a sweet tooth!

There will be free hot dogs for those who come to the sale, courtesy of Team Wench.

All of the money collected from this yardsale goes straight to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, so help us help them and get yourself a good deal in the process! Every dollar helps them come closer to a cure!

Directions

WITHOUT TOLLS

From Maryland, and other points around the DC beltway (toll-free option)
  • Make your way to Leesburg Pike (aka VA-7) WEST
    [I-495 to exit 47b OR I-66 to the Dulles Access Road, for instance]
  • Aprox 13 miles west of I-495, exit onto Cascades Parkway SOUTH
  • After aprox 2 miles, turn RIGHT onto Morgan Way
  • Take your SECOND LEFT onto Morgan Way
  • Turn RIGHT onto Stablehouse Drive
  • The sale is on your right in less than 100 yards
From Leesburg and other points West (toll-free option)
  • Make your way to Harry Byrd Hwy (aka VA-7)
  • Turn RIGHT onto Sully Road SOUTH (VA-28) towards Dulles Airport
  • After aprox 2.5 miles, bear right where signs indicate "to Sterling"
  • After aprox 1 mile, exit at West Church Road (aka VA-625) EAST (opposite Waxpool Rd)
  • Take your SECOND RIGHT onto Morgan Way
  • Turn RIGHT onto Stablehouse Drive
  • The sale is on your right in less than 100 yards

WITH TOLLS

From Maryland, and other points around the DC beltway (toll option)
  • Make your way to the Dulles Toll Road (aka VA-267) WEST [from I-495 exit 45A or I-66]
  • PAY TOLL to get onto the highway and pay again to get off the highway
    Tolls can be as much as $1.25 - bring change
  • Take Sully Road (VA-28) NORTH via exit 9B
  • After aprox 3 miles, exit at West Church Road (aka VA-625) EAST (opposite Waxpool Rd)
  • Take your SECOND RIGHT onto Morgan Way
  • Turn RIGHT onto Stablehouse Drive
  • The sale is on your right in less than 100 yards
From Leesburg and other points West (toll option)
  • Make your way to the Dulles Greenway (VA-267) EAST
  • PAY TOLL to get onto the highway and pay again to get off the highway
    Tolls can be as much as $2.80 - since it's a weekend, bring change or credit card
  • Exit the Greenway at Loudon County Parkway (VA-607) NORTH
  • After aprox 2 miles, turn RIGHT onto Waxpool Road (aka VA-625)
  • When you cross Sully Road (VA-28), it changes to West Church Road (still VA-625)
  • After passing Sully Road, take your SECOND RIGHT onto Morgan Way
  • Turn RIGHT onto Stablehouse Drive
  • The sale is on your right in less than 100 yards
